This School Choice Week, AFP-NM Calls on Legislature to Increase Educational Freedom

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — As National School Choice week ends, Americans for Prosperity-New Mexico (AFP-NM) is calling on lawmakers to prioritize increased education freedom for students across the state during this legislative session.

New Mexicans deserve educational solutions as unique as they are, and we know the key to that success is a quality education. New Mexico’s education system makes it difficult for students, families, and educators to develop solutions that elevate every kid and it’s clear the one-size-fits-all approach allows the majority to fall through short of their highest potential.

Every student deserves an empowered voice in their education decisions. The freedom they need to explore their passions and the opportunity to expand their skills and capabilities will drive their long-term prosperity. Our students, families, teachers, and communities thrive when kids flourish. This National School Choice Week, we hope you’ll stand with AFP-NM to support educational freedom and opportunity for our students.
