Industries affected by the bill currently support thousands of workers and generate significant funding for schools, infrastructure, and public services through taxes and royalties. Rapidly restricting or eliminating these operations could lead to job losses, reduced state revenue, and budget shortfalls—especially in rural and energy-dependent communities.
